While I’m beavering away in the lab, The Spouse™ is taking the time to do some distance learning courses. He was looking at ones that are about to start, and what they might lead on to.
This morning he was heard to exclaim “Accounting, Finance and Computing! Ooh!”.
That is not a phrase I’d ever thought to hear said in excitement.
He he he.
From my experience, I can echo your comments for the last one!
Heh – sounds like us too.
I have been known (in a fit of being newly married) to offer to do an "introduction to engineering" course in order to have a better idea of where he’s coming from and what floats his boat. Have to say the courses I’ve found so far have not been of the boat-floating variety, and I haven’t been exclaiming in excitement over them. I might just let that one drop and sign up for a theology/obscure language/flower arranging/photography/etc course and hope he doesn’t notice! (not that I’m going to do anything right now – I’m just starting writing up, can you believe it’s gone so quickly?!).
